Pray for Wisdom: Nourishment for the Soul

Photograph of sunset in Northern Israel Books and food do not mix well and one is advised to never eat with books, but the words of the Books of Torah are food and one should eat from these books as if they were meals in themselves. The words of the books of men are detrimental to the mind and the soul, but the Holy Words of God are nourishment for the soul.

The wicked "reasoned, but they were led astray, for their wickedness blinded them, and they did not know the secret purposes of God, nor hoped for the wages of holiness, nor discerned the prize for blameless souls..." but "wisdom is radiant and unfading, and she is easily discerned by those who love her, and is found by those who seek her." (Wisdom of Solomon 2:21-22; 6:12)
